More than fifty per cent of the total development expenditure in India is in the construction sector. The last decade is distinguished by the commencement of several mega projects, both in the public & private sectors. The new policy of the Government has opened up opportunities for large scale investment in the Indian economy by multinational companies as well as their Indian equivalents. These considerable investments by International and Indian funding agencies have and will continue to bring unprecedented activities in the construction sector. There is hence, a dire need and urgency to produce professionals, Architects, Construction Managers, Urban Planners, Interior Designers, as our country needs large number of trained man-power to undertake the developmental works speedily. India has become a major centre for investments in the field of Real-estate (RE) and Infra-structural Development. All the investments in such projects can only be effected by observing green and sustainable concepts.
