Mechanical engineers conceive, design, develop, manufacture and operate devices for use of mankind.? It is one of the broadest engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineering is involved from a simple toy car to supersonic jet planes, from a single file to CNC machines, from a simple Potter’s wheel and water wheel to huge power plants, from setting up a simple repair shop to setting up of large manufacturing units.In fact, almost, all facets of life.No doubt Mechanical Engineering is known as the evergreen branch of engineering.
The School of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1998 along with the Institute and over the years has developed into a very vibrant teaching-learning unit.
The School offers the following programmes:
The courses are approved by AICTE and the B Tech course is accredited by National Board of Accreditation.The B Tech programme involves a proper mix of the courses pertaining to Design, Manufacture and Thermal Engineering.Stress is laid on both Analysis and Synthesis.To transform a student into a useful citizen, further training is provided in the form of Professional Development courses and the obligation towards the Community is further strengthened through an Audit Course CSOP (Community Service Oriented Project).The department has established the ASME Students Section (13E6AD) in May 2010, to further the professional competence of the students through their association with the leading professional body in mechanical engineering.
The three year Part Time M Tech course has first year common for all.From second year onwards, the students are allowed to exercise option to specialize in
a)Design of Mechanical Equipment, and
depending upon their aptitude.
Ph.D:Presently the areas of research available are: Maintenance; Reliability; Vibrations;
The department has a total of thirty one faculty members which include 7 Professors and one Associate Professor. It is a rich blend of academic and industrial experience covering various specializations like machine tools, vibrations, welding, refrigeration, heat transfer, operation research, computer aided design etc.
The school has well furnished class rooms with e-learning facilities, a well equipped Seminar Hall, Students Society Room for ASME and MESF activities, a Project Hall, Departmental Library. Further the following laboratory facilities exist:
Central Workshop; Strength of Materials and Material Testing Lab; Production Engg Lab; Fluid Mechanics and Machines Lab; Energy Conversion Lab; Biofuel lab; Heat Transfer Lab; Refrigerator and Air conditioning Lab; Instrumentation and ?Mechatronics Lab; Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines Lab; Vibration Lab; CAD Lab.
The Mechatronics and IC Engine Lab have been modernized through funding by AICTE under MODROBS.
A number of softwares are available in the CAD lab such as AUTOCAD 2008, PRO-E, SOLID WORKS, CATIA, LABVIEW SG2, COSMOS, MATLAB which are used for teaching and research purposes.
-The school lays special emphasis on teaching-learning process through innovative teaching aids.

-Professional competence developed through PD courses, ASME Students Section, Mechanical Engineering Students Forum, Seminars & Debates.
-The school maintains a close interaction with the local industry. Students get their practical training in? modern plants like Escorts, Eicher, Maruti, Sona Steering. JCB, Hero Honda etc.
-Frequent interactions with industrial experts through seminars and lectures.

-Our students have won many prizes in the competition organized by Faridabad Industries Association every year.
-A large number of students have been able to get employment through Campus interviews in? National and Multi National companies.Some of these are:
